Financial Analyst July 2021 - Present

• Worked directly with the Director of Strategy to lead the development of a new financial modeling database for our Index business that cultivated new go-to-market strategies for our new index launches.

• Owned and proposed full-year budget for our Retirement Management  business inclusive of key strategic initiatives and new headcount requests. 

• Worked directly with our Director of HR, CFO, and Director of Legal to develop and own their proposed budget for all corporate groups which included, model of key strategic initiatives, new headcount, and company compensation targets. 

• Developed a sustainable monthly update process for our Revenue database that resulted in faster turnaround time and accuracy for our full-company forecasting cycle. 

Accountant July 2018 - July 2021

• Built 30+ cross-functional Tableau Dashboards that increase data quality for financial metrics used for external reporting purposes, thereby reducing errors in the revenue recognition, budgeting, and forecasting process

• Monthly reconciliation process of a Revenue Database in addition to 20+ enhancements deployed to the company’s Executive Financial Dashboard, thereby increasing reliability, speed and detail of information. 

• Implemented a standardized circulation process by which 15+ AR accounts are auto-reconciled prior to the monthly-close process, saving an estimated 40+ hours a month. 

• Worked with stakeholders in 20+ countries to implement a standardized forecasting process using automated dashboards and embedded database calculations

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement schedules, and other necessities for our month-end close.

• Assisting in testing and implementation of a new revenue recognition and revenue tie-out process. 

• Identify, confirm and correct revenue entries, and tie-out revenue and DSL for external auditors. 

• Developing and implementing a new cash application process within the existing Morningstar billing process, which led to higher accuracy and application rates of payments by clients, and providing analysis to upper management.
